Cats and butter, butter and cats

So the two words I was trying to illustrate today for my CSOTD were “butter” and “cat”. I did a quick Google search to see if anyone had done a drawing of a cat with butterfly wings (indeed). Then I came across the classic “buttered cat paradox” definition about tying a piece of buttered toast to the back of a cat which leaves the cat spinning in mid-air — it gives me a good guffaw every time I hear it.

I think the paradox is best explained in a comic drawn by Greg Williams which can be found here (wish I had come up with this myself — totally hilarious and captures the concept perfectly).

So here’s what I ended up with the words:
