Colour me happy

1 – Deep Yellow … 7 – Peacock Blue … 12 – Midnight Black …

There’s a whole population of colouring pencil fans who know exactly what the above means. I have a set of 60 Laurentien pencil crayons (vs. the piddly 12- and 24-packs I had as a kid) and wow, we’re talking colour choices galore! So now I can add the following to the list:

33 – Tangerine … 36 – Raspberry … 45 – Cinnamon … 51 – Cloud Grey (not to be confused with 17 – Smoke Grey) … 55 – Champagne …

Get out the pencil sharpener maybe time to do some CSOTDs in this medium?

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, here’s the explanation for the numbers (according to their website): “Originally the numbers on the Laurentien pencil crayons corresponded with Craft Master’s Paint-by-Number kits that were very popular in the 1950s. The kits are no longer as popular, but the numbers remain for tradition.”

Was feeling a bit like my CSOTD (Creative Something of the Day) today:
